The Riccoboni Group  was founded in 1964 in Valmozzola, in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. After gaining experience in the field of road work construction, the Group begins to explore the environmental sector, and in the mid-seventies, they are one of the first in Italy to experiment with mobile systems for the treatment of drilling muds and waste. With the start of this endeavour, by the end of the nineties environmental sustainability became Riccoboni's core business.

Two major events radically changed the structure of the group: Tecnoambiente was founded in 1993, as a subsidiary controlled by Riccoboni focused on environmental trading and soon became the company’s main analysis laboratory. The acquisition in 2004 of  Grassano in Predosa led to the Riccoboni family to create Riccoboni Holding the following year.

Right from the start, the Holding’s objective was clear: to provide a state-of-the-art service in the environmental sector using the most modern technology and resources available. The services range from Global Services to reclamation, from the treatment of industrial waste and  the management of treatment plants to the transport and final disposal of waste. The three sister companies work in total synergy:  Riccoboni deals mostly with operations; Grassano is the platform for the storage and treatment of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, whilst Tecnoambiente deals with the chemical analysis of the waste. An organizational model that allows us exploit the best of our Company's know-how, enhanced in recent years thanks to the Group's many experts in the environmental sector.

Even with the growth Riccoboni has enjoyed in recent years, it cannot forget its  Business Ethics: a concept shared at all levels that combines environmental protection, social responsibility and full compliance with current regulations. Green innovation combined with profit and sustainability: these are the challenges that the Riccoboni Holding faces in the new millennium and that are an integral part of its Mission. To be a major player in the development of Italy’s Green Economy, investing in research and innovation and aiming to constantly improve its resources to provide customers with the best services available in the field of reclamation, collection, transportation and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
